Some initial design specifications:



1. Sleeve valve (similar to Hawker Tempest V)



2. Radial bearing on central bearing on crank.


3. Diesel or Bio-diesel (to prevent icing in inlet.)


4. Reduction geared propeller. or constant speed prop.


5. Direct fuel injection.


6. Water-cooled cylinder heads, cylinders, oil-cooled pistons.


7. Dry sump.



8. All auxiliary power taken of from non-drive end.



9. Turbo charged



10. To design an engine that has as few part as possible, that has as many commercially produced parts possible,
