Water pump and system

This is a view from the back NDE. With the power plaits removed and the pulleys removed.
What you have is the coolant entering the pump from the front then though the pump, up to either bank of cylinders. Each bank has a manifold so that the water enters both the sides. The water enters both above and below the intake and exhaust ports. At the DE (drive end) there is another set of manifolds but these are merely to route the coolant up to the heads. Here the coolant then flows back to the NDE where it then flows up to a common point with a filler cap and then of to the radiator.
