THE LATEST IDEA
Dew to the ongoing atemts to get better bombing, Georg has come up with this idea.. and he seemes to be having some sucses, well he is getting quit good..
1 camer in cockpit ( this is to check out side as well as set up the balencing of the motors RPM's) ( Its antener is in the back of the moddle, facing the Microlight flying the pilots)
2 plane
3 antener pointing at the ground ( for bomb sight)
4 servos
5 bomb aiming sight camera.

SOME NOVIL THIGS ABOUT THIS PLAIN..


 


 


 


MOTTOR:


24 cylinder H opposed motor.. The large number of cylinders has facilitated the need for an ignition , this is a combination plug system.. Each cylinder has a single plug witch dose 2 things ..


At start and at slow rpm s there is a pezo electric spark generator - distributor.. as the revs increase dew to the mechanical restraints of the distributor it stopped working so in side each spark-plug there is also a glow wire, as in a conventional glow plug.. so that is heated up and then tacks over at higher rpm s..


2: the motor is manufactured by casting components in to a lose wax process.. ( see frame building prose ) this allows for highly complex motor , but also a non serviceable motor so if some thing goes wrong the motors is not repairable!!


 


FRAME::


 


There are no servos in the entire air frame.. All the servos are put in the cockpit as a pilot.. and the plain is a more realistic flying model..


 


The entire frame is glued together "alie foil"


Each component is preset out.. The dies ( male and female ) are made by a poses of loss wax.. The 3 dimensional wax positives are grown using a 2d paper printer that has been modified to do 3d so each component is grown.


The cartridge has been modified to print wax and not ink.!


 


And this is just the tip of the nose cone!!

OK   !!  HERE IS THE LAITES NEWS!!

 

It has been decided, dew to the fact that micro light have to fly next to bomber.. (this has now been discovered that this is very difficult to bomb with any sort of accuracy for a week end sport ..)

 

SO ...  here is the next plan.. Sam ( the man ) has now come up with an ingenious  "" bomb sight "" 

 

It consist of a video cam that can beam to the bomber pilot in the micro light , or to a bomb aimer on the ground that can then control the bombing from the ground.. The pilot must still fly the plain, the bomb aimer can only instruct then relay the bombs away..

 

This has lead to much better scores.. And with a lot more fun for all..

Here is a rough idea of Georges Cockpit lay out,, the RPM's of the motors is from a pick up that, is then put though "resistor pots" to get the LED's to glow at specific Revs

The others are bomb doors, undercarriage, batters, ex. This information is sent down with the microwave TV image from the cockpit.

Eddie has designed a pc board that will send all the monitored info to the monitoring PC on the ground. The soft where he is creating will then superimpose what is seeing though the TV camera and a realistic looking cockpit. This sounds really quite exiting.
