HERE IS AN OUTLINE OF WHAT IS REQUIRED FROM TEAMS AND WHAT EQUIPMENT THEY WILL NEED

COMPLETE RUN... FROM A TO D-E-D (A CLASS)
PART RUN... FROM A-B C-D D-E-D  (B CLASS)
PART RUN... FROM C-D D-E-D      (C CLASS)
PART RUN... FROM D-E-D          (D CLASS)

 MICROLIGHTS AND ML CREWS.

We will have the support of sea rescue, all planes flying across the channel must have safety equipment as laid out in the MICROLIGHT INSTITUTE'S SAFETY REGULATIONS FOR PLANES TRAVERSING EXPANSES OF WATER. No person will be allowed to fly without the correct safety gear and dress.

A record of all microlight pilot's flying history will be required, as we would like to avoid hell-raisers and novices putting people's lives are at risk.

SPECIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM SIZE TEAM

 
  1 MICROLIGHT PILOT
  3 MODEL AIRCRAFT PILOTS
  1 CREW MEMBER

NOTE: TEAMS CAN BE AS LARGE AS DESIRED, AT THIS POINT. - THE COMPLETION OF ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL EVENT IS OUR MAIN PRIORITY AND ABOVE ALL !! HAVING A FUN TIME !!

AIRCRAFT SPECIFICATIONS AND RELATED SPECS:

 

1: MINIMUM SCALE: As long as it can complete the leg from England to France.
2; MIMIMUM CRUISING SPEED SUSTAINED: this will depend on your microlight.
3: TAKE-OF AND LANDING MUST BE ACCOMPLISHED IN: 70 meters max. 
4: CARGO LOADS CATOGORIES:
BOMBERS (ie. LANCASTERS)
FIGHTER BOMBERS (ie. ME 109)
TORPEDO BOMBERS (ie. NAKAJIMA B5N)

           this is dependent on the number of 1000fg ( 1 tone)bombs the original could carry and then will      be put in to a category with similar planes.
5: THE ENTIRE PLANE'S OPERATIONS MUST BE PERFORMED USING ONLY ONE HANDSET, AND THERE MUST BE ONE FOR EACH PILOT.

 ONE PILOT ON THE GROUND TO GET THE PLANE INTO THE AIR,

ANOTHER PILOT IN THE MICROLIGHT TO FLY TO THE NEXT LANDING POINT,

WHERE A THIRD PILOT WILL LAND THE MODEL.
ONE MIGHT THINK THIS IS A SLIGHT OVER-KILL, BUT IF THERE ARE 10 PLANES IN THE AIR THEN THE TIME AND RUNWAY SPACE WILL BE AT A PREMIUM.
6: INTECHANGEABLE CRYSTALS: 3 SETS
7: BOMBAYS CAN BE USED FOR FUEL STORAGE ON THE LONG FLIGHT IF THEY CAN BE LOCKED MANUALLY. ( The long flight being the flight across the channel from the UK to France. )
8: EACH MODEL AND CREW MUST HAVE PROOF OF ACCOMPLISHING AT LEAST ONE COMPLETE FLIGHT FROM ANY POINT "A" TO POINT "B", WITHOUT SIGNIFICANT PROBLEMS. EVERYONE MUST SIGN OFF ON THIS AND A NEUTRAL PERSON NEEDS TO WITNESS THE EVENTS.
